Bootstrapping Bronto @ SXSW

Last Friday, I had the pleasure of presenting at South by Southwest (SXSW) in Austin, Texas. SXSW is a massive event—more than 300,000 people attend each year—and it completely takes over downtown Austin. It was awesome to be part of it.

My session, “The Art of Scaling Your Startup Without Venture Capital,” was based on ideas from my book. About 170 people attended, and the conversation afterward was fantastic. We ran past our allotted time answering questions, and spilled out into the hallway. Anecdotally, the room liaison said it was the most attended session in the room.

I recorded the talk but the audio quality is a bit rough—it was from my iPhone propped up on a front-row chair. But, the presentation is one of my better ones with a solid hour of good nuggets.
